Spring 1

Boccia

 Our Year 3/4 class enjoyed taking part in Boccia during PE. Pupils worked on rolling and aiming the ball carefully, while learning the importance of teamwork. The session finished with a game, allowing children to put their skills into practice.

Autumn 2    

Christmas Pantomime

We had a fantastic time on our trip to the pantomime to see Snow White. All children were fully involved from start to finish and loved every minute! The children enjoyed the performance, catchy songs and audience participation.  They also represented our school wonderfully!

This term, we took part in a series of cricket sessions, developing key skills such as batting, bowling, throwing and catching. The children showed great enthusiasm and increasing confidence throughout these sessions. Our final session was a glow-in- the-dark cricket match that was a fun and memorable way to celebrate their hard work and progress! 

Year 3 Pedestrian Training

Year 3 pupils took part in two pedestrian training sessions this term, where they learned how to stay safe when near roads. The children practiced key skills such as stopping, looking and listening, identifying safe crossing points and understanding how to behave responsibly as pedestrians.

This term in DT, we have explored mechanical systems by using levers and linkages to design and create a moving hand. Pupils learned how simple mechanisms can create movement, experimenting with different designs before building and testing their models. The children showed great creativity, problem solving skills and perseverance, working hard to produce effective moving mechanisms.
